As a staff, we at the Johnson University Early Childhood Learning Center realize the tremendous responsibility placed upon us as you entrust to us the care of your child. We recognize this to be a great calling and we know the importance of this calling for it is stated in Matthew 18:14, “In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost.” We, too, see the importance of each child as an individual created in the eyes of God. We thank you for this privilege and we accept it with love.
We are excited with the opportunity we have to train and nurture young children. We know this training is invaluable as Proverbs 22:6 tells us to, “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” We do believe that the primary responsibility to train and nurture a child rests with you, the parents. Our prayer is that we might work together in providing experiences that will help your child to mature spiritually, emotionally, mentally, physically, and socially.
It is our intent to provide a Christian atmosphere that is loving, secure, and safe. Teachers will seek to recognize the special character of each child, their size, their learning mode, their many strengths, and their special limitations. Proverbs 20:11 states that, “Even a child is known by his actions, by whether his conduct is pure and right.” Our goal will be to lead each child to a sense of independence, initiative, competence, and a maturity in the Lord.
